One of the Las Vegas Strip’s longest-running productions also has one of the most beloved holiday shows. Tournament of Kings, a dinner show that features medieval pageantry and different cheering sections, features ’Twas the Knight from Nov. 23-Dec. 25, and it’s a show your family will be talking about for years to come.

Yes, there are still the sections representing the different knights’ countries—Austria, France, Hungary, Ireland, Sweden, Spain and Romania—and yes, there are still the gallant knights, their steeds, weaponry and well-choreographed clashes to get your pulse racing (and your full-throated cheering going). And yes, there’s still the food you eat with your hands—Cornish game hens, dinner rolls, corn on the cob and potatoes. But there are enough twists here to truly put you in the holiday spirit.

The wintry theme includes holiday-inspired music, poems and songs (audience participation is encouraged, because ’Twas the Knight is all about interaction), along with holiday costumes, banners, flags and a castle light that casts a soft glow on the proceedings. And Merlin summons all the magic at his disposal to make it “snow” upon the kingdom.

And that meal we previously described? It comes with a hand-decorated sugar cookie. Sometimes it’s the simplest things that make all the difference during the holidays.
