Absinthe at Caesars Palace is a show where the comedy doesn’t push the envelope; it shreds it to bits.

It’s a show that whisks audiences away to a world where anything goes—and we do mean anything. Yes, the talents on display here mesmerize like few others on the Strip, but to say it’s adults-only is putting it lightly. When it comes to the comedy, both spoken and physical, you’re going to need to be open. You have to be willing to let your guard down and let your freak flag fly, because eventually the whole audience will be waving theirs proudly.

It’s a show that makes it OK to be naughty, and your hosts The Gazillionaire and his assistant Wanda Widdles are both the creators and ambassadors of that naughtiness. And from that impropriety comes those big laughs—the comedy here is crass and all sass; it’s also super-sexual, and the audience absolutely eats it up from start to finish.

But let’s get back to that rotating cast of talent. During a recent show, audiences were treated to a cornucopia of acts made to amaze and excite: a couple gets lovey during an aerial number; a ripped guy works the pole; gasps and shock ripple the theater as a sword-swallower goes from one sword to six; juggling skills set the stage for a risqué undressing; a roller-skating duo elicits shock and awe; talented twins tap dance to thunderous applause; and a group of strongmen use each other’s bodies to balance.

In between the vignettes, The Gazillionaire likes to pick on the audience—no one is safe, and no one can keep a straight face. There’s even opportunity for couples to get up onstage and compete in a lap-dance competition for free cocktails. Speaking of inebriation—you’ll get drunk with delights when The Green Fairy makes an appearance for some song and striptease—doing justice to the show’s namesake spirit from which she was spawned.

We can’t forget to talk about Absinthe’s home, too. The theater construction is a nod to the traveling circuses of yesteryear, and the theater-in-the-round is erected under a speigeltent that gives off old vaudevillian vibes. Plan on getting there a little early so you can hang outside the tent and play some games like cornhole or kick it with a cocktail underneath the huge LED tree. Inside you can order drinks from the bar, or if you paid for table seating, cocktail servers will stop by and take drink orders.

The party atmosphere of the show fits in perfectly with the Vegas crowd, too. If you’re wanting entertainment where you get to hoot and holler, laugh out loud and cheer and loudly applaud, this is the show to do it. Absinthe really is an anything-goes show that takes the audience through 90 minutes of extremely impressive entertainment and jaw-on-the-floor comedy. And once it’s all done, you can’t wait to experience it all over again.
