Take a break from the Las Vegas Strip hustle and bustle by visiting one of the coolest spots in the city—AREA15. The arts and entertainment district houses awesome adventures to feed the mind, body and soul. It’s free to enter and explore, although there are plenty of ticketed experiences that you can pick and choose from, depending on what type of fun you want.

Mind

What you think is a normal grocery store turns into a mind-tripping adventure inside Omega Mart. The biggest tenant inside AREA15 invites guests to explore what you might think looks like your neighborhood store, but take a closer look and you’ll realize things aren’t what they seem. The living, breathing art project hides portals and paths that will take you to otherworldly lands and beg your mind to think outside the box.

Over at Emporium Arcade Bar, put your mind and skills to the test on a slew of classic and modern arcade games while grabbing a handcrafted cocktail inside this 21-and-over hot spot that also has live DJs.

Rev up those butterflies in your stomach when you hop aboard the new ride adventure, Liftoff. Sitting right outside AREA15, this panoramic skyline experience is an open-air balloon ride that takes guests 130 feet into the air for 360-degree views of the valley. On weekends, enjoy the new Block Party at Liftoff beginning at 8 p.m. Drink specials, live DJs, food trucks and outdoor games entertain before you take your ride in the sky.

Body

Feeling hungry? Feed the body inside AREA15’s eatery, The Beast by Todd English. Inside this steampunk-inspired space, you can chow down on drool-worthy barbecue. We’d be remiss if we didn’t mention the new vegetarian options like cauliflower wings with different sauces (get the peanut butter and jelly!), grilled avocado guacamole with house-made chips and vegan buffalo pizza.

For more physical fun, check out Five Iron Golf, an indoor golf-simulator experience, ax-throwing competition at Dueling Axes, indoor ziplining on Haley’s Comet and a host of virtual-reality experiences.

Soul

Feed your soul with the new O’Keeffe: One Hundred Flowers exhibit inside the Portal. The 360-degree projection mapping technology immerses guests inside the art of Georgia O’Keeffe. Watch as her famous floral paintings come to life and dance to a soundtrack of famous female-artist songs. During the experience, those 21 and up can order specially themed drinks from a roaming cocktail cart.

Get your chakras and soul in alignment with the new Radiance Wellness Program inside the projection-mapped Portal space. The ongoing series offers a calendar of immersive experiences, including this Saturday’s yoga and wellness class.

Take the soul journey through Wink World: Portals Into the Infinite. The experience includes six infinity mirror rooms that take guests on a psychedelic ride of multimedia and leaves one pondering life’s infinite possibilities.
