Sun, wild fun and a roster full of some of the biggest EDM DJs in the biz—Wet Republic at MGM Grand has all the right components to deserve its reputation as one of the most popular dayclubs in Las Vegas, and cocktail server Christie Burns gets to share in the accolades.

“The energy here is unreal,” said the San Diego native. “(There’s) so many ways to make a visit memorable. The staff is committed to providing nonstop energy from start to finish.”

Burns is no stranger to providing the best customer service—she’s been working in the industry for nearly a decade, starting out as a cashier for a nightclub in her hometown. As soon as she turned 21, she switched to a cocktail server position, and her skills eventually led her to one of San Diego’s biggest nightclubs, Omnia, owned and operated by industry leader Hakkasan Group. Burns worked at Omnia since its opening in 2014, and this year she decided to make the move to Vegas and applied to Hakkasan’s dayclub, Wet Republic. “I felt that San Diego is great, but I kinda grew out of it,” explained Burns. “I had been there so long and I wanted to take it to the next level.”

And Burns said her decision has been a positive one. “I really love the team that I work with,” she said. “The management team are the best of the best and there’s no piggybacking off of others’ success. Everyone is a go-getter and committed to providing customers with the best possible experience.”
