“I take them into the Forked Earth, getting them to complete their leadership ascension track so that they can celebrate with a rainbow dance party,” Randy Hample says. Say what? The confusion mixed with curiosity of that sentence should prep all readers for what lies in store at Omega Mart at AREA15, and Hample, a creative operator, is ready to guide guests through this immersive experience.
“I engage all the guests who enter the doors with an awesome attitude and let them know how extremely grateful we are that they’re here to spend some time with us,” he says. “And then lead them into alternate dimensions.” Throughout the day, Hample can take on various roles inside Omega Mart—something that he loves doing, especially with his theater background. The New York native studied singing, dance and acting in college, and after graduation spent a few years on the amusement park and cruise ship circuit out of Florida before bringing his talents to Las Vegas in 2015. After spending some time involved in community theater and some Strip productions, he auditioned for Omega Mart and has been with the company since it opened its doors in early 2021.
Outside of work, Hample continues to use his talents to create television content. Most recently he’s written, produced and starred in his own children’s show, Exercise Zoo (found on streaming services like Apple TV). “Fitness and staying active is so important to me, and I really wanted to get some awesome content out to the kids,” he says.
Back at Omega Mart, Hample loves that he gets to exercise his creative talents daily. “I certainly love being able to take someone else’s work and slightly interpret it in your own way and perform. It never gets stagnant. There’s always something to try out and you can keep your creative brain going. There’s nothing like it.” You can say that again!
