Fan-fueled Ink & Vector is obsessed with style
Ink & Vector might be proof of how the pop culture landscape has changed. Not too long ago, there’d be one big superhero or sci-fi flick every few years at most, and talking about most of these would garner quizzical expressions, at best. But now that the big and small screen alike are jam-packed with superheroes, space aliens, zombies, witches, wizards, Doctors, robots, ponies and countless other creations, everyone has a favorite. Ink & Vector celebrates these obsessions by fusing fandom with fashion. The pop-up shop recently opened with a series of themed events celebrating recent occasions like the season finale of The Walking Dead and the premiere of The Amazing Spider-Man 2.
The shop’s merch selection goes way beyond plain logo apparel. Slouch tees, tanks, cardigans and more round out the store’s female-focused designs, although they offer plenty of men’s and unisex wear. If T-shirts are your thing, that selection is fantastic, with many exclusive to the store. Trekkies will want the zip-up Spock hand hoodie that unzips into the “live long and prosper” gesture, while Whovians will delight at the lovely Doctor Who TARDIS cardigan, a slightly dressed-up piece that bears the police box likeness on the back.
Nab some Wicked wear, stock up on modern or faux-vintage Transformers and My Little Pony merch, or rep your four-color favorites with Marvel Comics tops and accessories. The store keeps tabs on what’s in-demand and requested, stocking popular and new designs constantly. But if you want in, you’ll need to hurry—the boutique will only stick around through late summer.
