“United we stand” seems to be a theme in making military style stronger than ever as a trend this year. Bold piping, rounded buttons, exaggerated shoulders and cropped tops and jackets all help add to this new interpretation of the traditional military look, thus providing a needed refresh to a trend that tends to show itself time and time again during times of war or an election cycle.

However, camouflage took to the masses, making it almost impossible to find something you would not like. Fashion icon Gigi Hadid took full advantage of the military trend this year, wearing full camo sweat suits. From tailored double-breasted coats to sailor-front pants, striped tees and bomber jackets alike, this is a trend that is definitely coming with us into next year. Ten-hut!
