Retail Therapy Spotlight: Philippe Starck
Hotels, restaurants, fashion, furniture, consumer products—name it and Philippe Starck has likely designed it. His relentless creativity has resulted in no fewer than 10,000 creations throughout his lifetime, ranging from furniture and fashion to consumer products and architecture. It’s safe to say that you’ve been influenced by Starck without even realizing it—even in Sin City, where he designed the SLS Las Vegas restaurant Katsuya by Starck.
His influence is also on full display at Baccarat at The Forum Shops at Caesars. When you hear the words “Baccarat Crystal,” odds are you immediately think of elegance and artistry. Starck is a huge reason for that, creating some of the brand’s most distinct designs.
Baccarat’s partnership with Starck began in 2003 when he was enlisted to redesign Maison Baccarat at 11 Place des Etats-Unis with Gérard Garouste. Starck has designed nearly two dozen pieces for Baccarat, and more than a dozen of his signature pieces are included in the current assortment, including the Bon Jour Versailles table lamps (created with innovative LED Edge technology), a collaboration with Baccarat and Flos. Add a little of Starck’s style to your life this week.
