Sure, Las Vegas has its share of steakhouses, but each has a personality all its own. Whether you’re looking for something more feminine, a classic, a chic newcomer or a New York import, Las Vegas has it. Here now, a look at some of the steakhouses of Las Vegas, just in time for the National Finals Rodeo.
SHe by Morton’s
Combine feminine wiles, a boutique design and a meat selection from the Morton’s steakhouse inventory to get SHe by Morton’s, the restaurant and chic lounge at The Shops at Crystals. The menu surprises include SHe cuts, He cuts and We cuts, such as the 40-ounce porterhouse for two. Celebrity restaurant partner Eva Longoria stamps her own brand on the menu with her namesake guacamole featuring crab and rock lobster.
The Capital Grille
The Capital Grille occupies a striking glass space on the third level of the Fashion Show mall with a view of the Strip and an interior fit for lunchtime political dealings or creating romance. The relaxed elegant main room serves dry-aged steaks while the wine list has earned accolades from Wine Spectator. Portraits of Dean Martin and Frank Sinatra line the hallway while the private dining room features a surprise appearance from Liberace.
Gordon Ramsay Steak
Sleek, shiny and every inch a contemporary design, Gordon Ramsay Steak from TV chef Gordon Ramsay’s very modern vision of a steakhouse wows with the room before you even taste the food. Chic staff in bespoke uniforms lead you through an arched glass and steel Chunnel that marks an imaginary entryway from Paris Las Vegas into the British interior, complete with a Union Jack on the ceiling. Here, the Pat LaFrieda Prime beef has been dry-aged for a minimum of 28 days.
Old Homestead Steakhouse
A classic New York City steakhouse is given the Las Vegas twist. You’ll first notice the smells of a steakhouse legend drifting through the casino as a 32-ounce ribeye begins to char. The New York institution has been in business for more than a century in Manhattan, but as a relative newcomer to Caesars Palace, it’s eager to prove its reputation with every plate. These 2-inch thick steaks are seared and crusted at 1,200 degrees, a process that Old Homestead uses to keep the deep flavors of the dry aging intact.
Andiamo Italian Steakhouse
Walk down the brick-lined hallway and Fremont Street is a world away at The D’s flagship restaurant. Joe Vicari’s Andiamo Italian Steakhouse was inspired by the owner’s dining experience in Tuscany. Vicari grew his empire to nine metro Detroit locations and now the Michigan-loving D in Las Vegas. Andiamo turns to Italian favorites and flavors, quality ingredients and a reputation that begins with the meat, including 30-day aged Pat LaFrieda and Stockyard Premium beef.
The Steak House at Circus Circus
Step inside and you’ll never know you’re in a high-wattage circus-themed casino. The warm amber, mahogany and brass fixtures are designed for an evening of classic steakhouse dining and feature service finely tuned by a loyal staff, some of whom have worked here for years. Check out the beef in the steakhouse’s glass-enclosed aging room. The porterhouse, ribeye and prime rib selections all come in sized-to-impress portions and are cooked to perfection over an open-hearth mesquite charcoal broiler.
