Although entertainment in Las Vegas is at a standstill, all is not lost. Just because you can’t see “O” right now doesn’t mean this town is short on experiences that will make you say “Oh!” Sometimes it’s as easy as looking down at your dinner plate, and at the following restaurants, you’ll find some real showstoppers.

1. Mon Ami Gabi (Paris, 702.944.4224) A meal here pairs authentic French cuisine with a delightful panoramic view of the nearby Fountains of Bellagio. But good luck watching the Fountains, because you’ll have a hard time taking your eyes off the trout almondine or the comforting steak and frites.

2. Carbone (Aria, 877.230.2742) If Walt Whitman had been able to dine at this New York City import, “O Captain! My Captain!” probably wouldn’t have been so depressing. Here, your dutiful waiter, or “captain,” will guide you through an incredible meal that could include rare rum, veal Parmesan and a tableside bananas à la rum that will steal the show.
