If you live in New York’s SoHo neighborhood, the name “Sadelle’s” always conjures a smile. Since opening there in 2015, the restaurant has won countless awards, and its bagels and smoked salmon quickly became a must-have item. And thanks to the efforts of Major Food Group, Sadelle’s now has a location in Las Vegas—it’s perfectly nestled just past the Bellagio Conservatory & Botanical Gardens, and all the elements that make it such a favorite in New York have been ported over.

The bagels themselves are about as good as you’re likely to find this side of the East Coast. They’re the result of hundreds of tests by the restaurant to get the balance just right. Trust us, you’ll be pleased with the results. And the smoked salmon that accompanies them is just the beginning of the journey—order the Sadelle’s Tower, where fish is served in tower form, with levels featuring house salmon, sable, sturgeon and whitefish and salmon salads. It’s accompanied by bagels with tomato, cucumber, capers and cream cheese.

Whether you’re ordering breakfast or lunch here, there’s not a false note to be found anywhere. The breakfast offers plenty of your favorite comfort food classics, including eggs Benedict (add some of that house salmon—yum!) and heuvos rancheros. If you’ve got a sweet tooth, blueberry pancakes and the Belgian waffle fit the bill nicely. For something a bit more off the beaten path, try the cheese blintz, a thin pancake with a somewhat sweet cheese filling (order a side of fruit and pour on top. Heaven!)

A great lunch starter is the tuna tartare, served with house-made bagel chips and lettuce for scooping. A French onion soup has a thick layer of gooey cheese that will keep you coming back for more. Take your pick of some terrific sandwiches, from a tuna melt to crispy chicken. And be sure to group it with a delightful salad, from the Freddy—shrimp, heart of palm, avocado, radish and crispy shallots—to the Beverly—turkey, cheddar, bacon, beets and juicy tomato.

Seafood lovers will be especially excited. Jonah’s Loaded Fish Tacos are exactly that, with cabbage and chiles complementing the lightly breaded and deep-fried fish. Grilled branzino is served with sesame spinach, roasted salmon gets an accompaniment of asparagus and mustard vinaigrette, and the 2-pound lobster will have your tastebuds a-tingling with dijon, horseradish and drawn butter.

But if you’re looking for a marquee dish at Sadelle’s, it’s hard to beat the fried chicken, both flavor-wise and aesthetically. After being brined in Tabasco sauce, buttermilk and lemon zest for 12 hours, it’s coated and fried and served with coleslaw, honey and Crystal hot sauce. Get the cameras out!

Desserts are simple but oh so good. Chocolate pudding is served with sprinkles, nuts and whipped cream to make this an interactive ending to the meal. The strawberry cake, 18 layers of strawberry and cakey goodness, make dessert a tea party.
