It’s great to see Buddy Valastro recovering from a hand injury he suffered at his home (he recently shared a post on Instagram showing him icing a cake with his uninjured hand), and it’s also great to see the reopening of his amazing restaurant, Buddy V’s Ristorante. And like the resilient man behind the restaurant, Buddy V’s is ready to get back to business as usual.

Fans of the restaurant will be happy to know that it retains the same sense of fun and family as before—Valastro’s signature dishes like My Wife’s Eggplant Parm (featuring crispy and crunchy pieces of eggplant, tomato, mozzarella and Parmesan), My Mother In Law’s Linguine Shrimp Scampi (served with tomatoes, spinach, garlic, white wine, lemon and pecorino), and The Boss XL Veal Parm Chop (an oven-baked monster enveloped in provolone and mozzarella and served with spaghetti marinara) are all still here.

Before you decide, make sure to enjoy one of the many signature cocktails. The Cake Boss, a nod to Valastro’s hit reality show, is almost dessert, featuring pinnacle cake, Marie Brizard’s Chocolat Royal liqueur and Baileys Irish Cream, while the Cucumber Mule refreshes with Nue vodka, ginger beer and cucumber soda. Bourbon fans will love the Basilico, Jim Beam, Wild Turkey American Honey, orange, basil and ginger ale.

Appetizers are so, so tasty here, particularly the Toscano salad (one of Las Vegas Magazine’s favorites on the Strip!), with baby arugula, prosciutto, roasted tomatoes, artichokes, and pecorino Roman, all drizzled with a lemon vinaigrette. But make sure to order some Grandma’s Meatballs for the tables as well, made with beef, veal and pork, smothered with marinara and Parmesan.

If you decide on a pizza for the table, you cannot go wrong with any of the choices, but Buddy’s Favorite might be worth experiencing, a rich blend of flavors including spicy Italian sausage, peppers, onions, garlic, ricotta, mozzarella, provolone and basil.

Main courses include all your favorites like chicken Parm, veal marsala and fettucine alfredo, but again, the signature dishes are more than worth exploring. Try Nonna’s Lasagna Al Forno, made with Italian sausage, beef and pork, ricotta, mozzarella, provolone and Parmesan, or really go all out with Valastro Sunday Gravy (a family recipe), featuring meatballs, sausage, lamb and pork, along with a bowl of rigatoni. There are also seafood options like grilled salmon served with chickpea and artichoke salad, or a Mediterranean sea bass, accompanied by roasted potatoes, arugula, tomatoes, capers and lemon. For the meat-lovers at the table, order the succulent, 8-ounce certified angus filet served with porcini mashed potatoes, Tuscan-style broccolini and a chianti jus.

Dessert awaits in the form of all your Italian favorites. You can’t go wrong with the traditional tiramisu, ladyfingers in a coffee soak and served with Kahlua, marsala mascarpone filling, cocoa powder in a chocolate caramel sauce, but Buddy’s Lobster Tail, a flaky pastry shell served with custard cream and seasonal fresh fruit, is another signature intended to create loving memories.
