A bit of classic Chicago style mixed with a touch of glitzy Vegas flair, Bavette’s Steakhouse & Bar is the perfect place to enjoy a romantic evening out or share an upscale meal with friends.

Old-fashioned, classic libations like the gimlet, Negroni, martini, mint julep, vesper and Manhattan lead a cocktail menu packed with single- and double-pours of many impressive Scotch whiskey and bourbon selections.

Bavette’s adds some French-cooking flair to a classic American steakhouse menu. Start with hors d’oeuvres like the popular baked goat cheese, served with red sauce, fine herbs and garlic bread, the baked crab cake, made with blue crab, preserved lemon and a remoulade, or the lyonnaise salad, featuring bacon, a soft-cooked egg and brioche croutons. Or go really classic with shrimp cocktail, wedge salad or steak tartare. There are several seafood tower options, too, like the full- or half-pound king crab tower.

Beef selections include a Chicago cut of classic ribeye, dry-aged bone-in New York Strip, traditional 10-ounce filet mignon cut, or a 6-ounce petite duchess version. Entrées include juicy roasted chicken, lamb chops and honey-glazed salmon, as well as more specialty dishes like spiced fried chicken with sweet pea and cipollini gravy.

Finish off your meal with a sweet treat like a divine slice of house-made chocolate cream pie, lemon meringue or carrot cake. Add a side of vanilla or salted caramel ice cream or scoop of mango sorbet. You’ve earned it.

In honor of Bavette’s reopening, the restaurant is currently offering a “Welcome Back” menu for $55 per person. It includes a choice of one salad or hors d’oeuvres like shrimp cocktail, baked crab cake or mixed green and apple salad; one entrée like the roasted chicken, honey-glazed salmon or two different steak cuts; and one side dish like buttery mashed potatoes, broiled asparagus or truffle mac & cheese.
