While Cornerstone is one of Vegas’ hidden gems, it’s also the crown jewel of the Gold Coast Hotel & Casino, serving up classic steakhouse fare that pays tribute to an era that feels similar to Vegas’ golden age.

First, you’ll want to order a drink, and Cornerstone specializes in classic, Prohibition-era cocktails. The Old-Fashioned is a must-try, mixed with Old Forester bourbon, brown sugar, bitters, orange and dark cherries.

As you sip, peruse the appetizer menu, where you’ll find tried-and-true starters like oysters on the half shell, crab cakes, shrimp cocktail and bacon-wrapped dates. They’re all wonderful, but if you’re looking for a starter that’s more robust, go with Shanghai-style fried calamari, served with a tongue-tingling chili glaze.

For your main dish, ordering a classic cut like filet mignon, New York strip or bone-in ribeye is the obvious choice, but other entrées are worth trying, such as the beef tips in red wine served with pappardelle pasta, or the shrimp scampi sautéed with white wine, garlic, butter and lemon and topped with chives.
