One of Las Vegas’ favorite places for Mexican food recently opened in a vibrant new locale. Tacos & Tequila features a variety of murals on the walls and a welcoming bar. Order up a pineapple-chipotle margarita with Tres Generaciones plata tequila, a Mexican beer or a Michelada to start, or beer buckets and margarita pitchers if you’re with a crew.

The eatery serves a classic Mexican menu with items like tortilla soup, an asada tostada bowl, chicken burritos and beef barbacoa enchiladas, but tacos are the star, including its pride and joy, the alambre taco. The alambre is a decadent creation of filet mignon, Oaxacan cheese, bacon, poblano chilis, onion and cilantro, and it’s stuffed full. Other options for tacos include al pastor, shrimp, fish, chicken tinga and others. Combo plates let you pick from several varieties of tacos and enchiladas, including veggies.
