Sometimes all the fine-dining options found around Las Vegas can be a bit overwhelming. We know what you’re thinking: Why can’t I just have something simple for lunch, like a delicious, perfect sandwich? You can. Great sandwiches are part of all those options, too.

The newest sandwich spot on the Las Vegas Strip can be found at The Park, between New York-New York and Park MGM. Top Round (eattopround.com) has expanded from Los Angeles to bring its old-school roast beef sandwiches to Vegas, a top-quality menu of casual food created by real chefs. The slow-cooked goodness comes on a soft roll with your choice of toppings, from zesty cheese sauce to a barbecue beef sandwich with pickles, to the horseradish cream and roasted mushroom combo known as Horse & Hole. Fried chicken sandwiches, pastrami burgers and hot dogs are also available at this up-and-coming hot spot.

Move north on the Strip and dip off the boulevard toward the Las Vegas Convention Center to discover Siegel’s Bagelmania (702.369.3322), the beloved local deli that recently celebrated 33 years of serving the city and is still finding new customers at its biggest location yet, opened here in 2021 to great acclaim. All your favorite classics are done well, from hot pastrami or corned beef to fresh white fish or egg salad sandwiches. Explore the list of signature creations and you won’t be disappointed; the Tommy White, with ham, salami, turkey pastrami, pepperoncini and provolone on a French roll, is one of our top picks.

Ike’s Love & Sandwiches (702.500.8687) has several locations around the valley, including one at FSLV mall on the Strip and another near the campus of UNLV. There are almost too many tasty choices on this menu to narrow it down, but that means there’s something for everyone at Ike’s, including vegans or vegetarians. Try the Backstabber, loaded with chicken, Caesar dressing, marinated artichoke hearts, cheese, lettuce and tomato.

If you’re looking for that next-level chicken sandwich, hit celebrity chef Richard Blais’s restaurant Crack Shack (702.820.5991), located Stripside right in front of Park MGM. If you’re a fan of fried stuff, the Firebird is your sandwich—spicy fried Jidori chicken thigh with ranch dressing, crispy onions and pickles. If you’re a grilled cheese fanatic, sample the Cali Drip, with grilled chicken, fries, chipotle mayo and bacon layered panini-style with loads of melty Oaxacan cheese.

If you want to eat sandwiches like the locals do, cruise around the Beltway until you get to Proper Sandwich Company (725.210.5224) on south Rainbow Boulevard. This new café was created by two veterans of fancy fine-dining restaurants on the Strip, and they’ve built this casual menu around the best ingredients available with some impressive flavor combinations. The Italian hoagie and spicy “naked” meatball sandwiches are among the most popular items, but the chicken banh mi is also worth a bite, and the juicy porchetta—eight-hour pork belly on ciabatta with salsa verde and red wine pickled onions—always sells out, so grab it if you can.
