One of the Strip’s newest and highest-end restaurants, Mexican steakhouse Toca Madera in The Shops at Crystals near Aria, has been a hit with tourists and locals alike, thanks to its trendy vibe and fantastic menu. And the experience just got even better, as the restaurant just launched a brunch menu, one that focuses as much on sweet as it does savory—and, of course, cocktails!

Choosing a libation before the meal could be challenging, as Toca Madera has created so many sublime-sounding concoctions. Mimosa fans will definitely want to experiment with the Build Your Own Mimosa, a bottle of Pizzolato prosecco, seasonal fruit and three selections among these choices: orange, mango, passion fruit, prickly pear and guava. But First … Coffee is a gentle blend of Sandovales reposado, Mr. Black coffee liqueur, espresso, Tajin and a cinnamon Coca-Cola reduction, while the Aye Mami is a playful combination of Ketel One (or Seedlip Garden for an alcohol-free option), watermelon, coconut water, cucumber and chamomile cordial, all poured over pineapple sorbet.

For the sweet course, order tres leches French toast, pictured, a decadent spin on a classic featuring thick slices of brioche smothered with Cinnamon Toast Crunch, cinnamon whipped cream, orange zest tuile, cajeta and fresh berries. If you’re more a chicken-and-waffles type, this version is lovely, with bite-sized Belgian waffle pieces served with breaded Jidori chicken and a Chipotle maple glaze. And the vanilla pancake served in a cast iron pan is a beast, covered with macerated berries, fresh whipped cream and powdered sugar.

For savory, the breakfast enchilada is done Suiza-style, featuring short rib barbacoa and queso Chihuahua in soft corn tortillas and topped with a fried egg. Also delicious is the omelette Mexicana, made with turkey bacon, caramelized onion, spinach, a mushroom blend and queso Chihuahua, topped with verde or rojo salsa. And who’s up for a breakfast burrito? This version includes turkey sausage, poblano chili, red onion, tomato, soft scrambled eggs, Chihuahua cheese, ranchero salsa, sour cream and papas bravas.

In addition, at Toca Madera you can order vegan versions of all the savory items, with things like tofu, tempeh bacon and vegan mozzarella.
