Trust us: You do not want to get into a debate with anyone from Chicago about what city has the best pizza. It’s just not going to end well. But trust us on this as well: If Chicago-style pizza is, indeed, what you’re looking for, there’s really no better place in Las Vegas than Giordano’s, a Chicago institution that’s been winning over pizza fans across the globe since 1974.

There are actually two Giordano’s outposts in Vegas, but if you’re on the Strip, one is conveniently located at the Grand Bazaar Shops next to Horseshoe Las Vegas. And while it may be smack-dab in the middle of the desert, one bite and you’ll immediately be looking around for Lake Michigan!

The stars here are definitely the deep dish pies, all made using family recipes. Take your choice between The Special (sausage, mushrooms, green peppers and onions), the Chicago Classic (the above pizza’s ingredients, only swapping sausage for pepperoni), the Meat & More Meat (pepperoni, sausage, salami and bacon), and Bacon BBQ Chicken (barbecue-basted chicken, bacon and balsamic onions, with tomato sauce being substituted for barbecue sauce). All the previous versions can also be made with the restaurant’s famous thin crust.

If you’d rather not start the “Whose pizza is best?” debate, opt for a sandwich (we like meatball and chicken Parm the best) or a classic Italian main course like chicken rigatoni alfredo.
