If you love sports, wait until you see Dawg House Saloon & Sports Book. The big, large, huge, mammoth space features a two-story wall of screens in the sportsbook, plus couches, recliners, and food truck The Mouse House, serving gourmet grilled cheese sandwiches.
Head into breakfast at the outpost of the Nashville original and check out such items as the smoked salmon platter, with a bagel, cream cheese, wild salmon and heirloom tomatoes; the Three Little Pigs, a squealer of a sandwich with bacon jam, sliced ham, applewood bacon, eggs and American cheese; or the steak and eggs with a 10-ounce ribeye. Plus, you can down carafes of mimosa and Bloody Marys for a very reasonable sum.
Stick around for dinner, and get smoked chicken wings, sandwiches like The Monocle, with havarti, Muenster, and fontina; and burgers like the Golden Retriever (a cheeseburger with traditional topping) and The Poodle, with cherry peppers, spicy queso and sautéed mushrooms. Of course, you’ve got to consider one of the “Dawgs,” with options like the Aloha Dawg (pineapple relish), and the Chihuahua (pico de gallo and avocado crema).
And you gotta wash those dawgs down with something, right? You can get a boatload of drinkables, from specialty cocktails, canned and draft beers, shooters and spirits and the aptly named “Crushed Grapes.”
