While many of the items on Genting Palace in Resorts World Las Vegas may seem familiar to a casual fan of Chinese food, real admirers will find plenty of authentic dishes on the menu, as well as other Asian cuisines.

The upscale Chinese restaurant, decorated in black lacquer on the exterior and gorgeous green tones on the interior, offers dim sum dumpling choices such as pork and shrimp siu mai with shiitake mushrooms, seafood black truffle dumplings, har gow or a dim sum platter with assorted items. Classic appetizers like spring rolls (vegan) and wonton soup share the billing with braised bird’s nest soup with king crab legs and minced ham, and marinated cucumber with cloud ear mushrooms and garlic.

The well-rounded menu includes barbecue with applewood-smoked soy sauce chicken, barbecued boneless duckling and Macau-style roasted crispy pork belly, spicy three-cup chicken and a traditional Peking duck served with hoisin sauce and crêpes.

You’ll find Genting Palace is extremely proud of its seafood selection, and with good reason. Enjoy a variety of live offerings, everything from poached Santa Barbara prawns to Maine and Australian lobster. But that’s just part of the seafood delights. Sweet and sour Chilean sea bass, wok-fried scallops with XO sauce, and the stewed whole Australian 2 head abalone & sea cucumber, a signature dish from chef Billy Cheng, may also pique your interest.

The wok-fried A5 Japanese wagyu beef tenderloin with black pepper sauce is another worthy signature item, while stir-fried shredded Angus beef is served with steamed butterfly buns. For pork, consider sweet and sour crispy Kurobuta pork with pineapple and pomelo. Vegetarians and vegans have several options while dining with their family and friends. The Sichuan vegan mapo tofu uses Impossible meat, while Sichuan eggplant also stars Impossible meat.

If you simply can’t decide what to order because it all just sounds so good, a five-course tasting menu features such items as Maine lobster with three cup sauce, chilled duck salad with black truffle sauce, braised short rib, egg fried rice, crispy prawn with osmanthus and, of course, dessert. Now that’s a deal!
