Las Vegas hosts plenty of special dinners, and they are often some of the most anticipated events of the year—case in point, this week’s A Culinary Collaboration dinner at Stubborn Seed in Resorts World Las Vegas. This Aug. 27 six-course tasting menu brings together the cuisines of two of the hottest chefs in the country, chef Jeremy Ford of Stubborn Seed and California chef Mei Lin.
Food fans will recognize both names, as the two chefs are both winners of Top Chef (Ford in season 13 and Lin in season 12), making the collaboration even more exciting. And both chefs have multiple restaurants across the country—earlier this year, Ford opened Stubborn Seed in Las Vegas and Lin opened 88 Club in Beverly Hills.
“This collaboration is all about pushing boundaries, having fun and sharing our mutual passion for bold, flavor-driven cuisine,” said Ford in a news release. “We’re thrilled to bring chef Mei’s innovative dishes to Stubborn Seed Las Vegas for a special night.”
Some of the dishes you’ll find on the menu include cannelloni of wagyu beef tartare with English peas and papaya kimchi; foie gras tart featuring mango from Ford’s farm in Florida; steamed black cod in a Sichuan tingly broth; black garlic-glazed wagyu short rib; and honey panna cotta with glazed figs and rosemary sorbet. The dinner is $125, with an optional $50 wine pairing. –Nina King
