If you’re searching for the perfect spot to celebrate this Valentine’s Day, then you’ve found it. Eiffel Tower Restaurant, sitting 100 feet up inside the iconic Vegas version of the Eiffel Tower, looks out across the Strip toward the Fountains of Bellagio, making for a very lovely vista during your meal (and a perfect place for a proposal?).

The French restaurant, a Lettuce Entertain You venue, has garnered a reputation both for that beauty and for the food of chef J. Joho. While any night is special here, you’ll find a prix fixe menu for Valentine’s Day and the next night as well—bonus! ($175 per person)—with celery root blanc manger and Alaskan king crab salad to begin, plus choices including a rich warm foie gras with braised fennel and Casco Bay sea scallops with French green lentils. Among the choices for entrées are salmon with champagne brown butter; filet mignon with bone marrow bread pudding; portobello roulade with mushroom jus; and roasted chicken breast with braised salsify. If you’ve never tried salsify, the flavor will completely surprise you; I find it to be slightly meaty but delicate. You’ll also get a decadent Valentine’s Day dessert.

Other nights, start off with one of the restaurant’s amazing cocktails, such as The Eiffel Affair, a sparkling sweetheart of a drink with Eiffel Tower Cremant D’Alsace, vodka macerated berries, crème de cassis and orange liqueur. You can also get a variety of wines by the glass.

Along with that, you may be tempted to dive into the Old World classic escargots à la Bourguignonne, served with garlic butter, or the slow-braised smoked pork belly Lyonnaise style, sure to tease your taste buds. If you choose caviar service, you’ll find flights of both American and imported osetra caviar. Entrées are plentiful, with seafood like Mediterranean branzino with braised black rice; Alaskan wild black cod; and slow-roasted filet of salmon with a pinot noir sauce. Vegetarians are sure to love the Parisian crêpe, served with sauteed greens, wild mushrooms and cave-aged Gruyère—I know I would.

Herb-crusted rack of lamb, Eiffel Tower beef Wellington, Rossini-style filet mignon and roasted chicken (also with braised salsify) are Eiffel Tower Restaurant fan favorites, and they may become yours, too. Get a different style of filet mignon with “The Queen” and “The King” broiled beef tenderloin—the first is a petite version while the other is larger. Accent your meat with green peppercorn, bearnaise and bordelaise sauces and a half Maine lobster, if you would like. Then add on a classic potato gratin, Brussels sprouts with bacon lardons, Mediterranean cauliflower campanelle pasta, butternut squash gnocchi, and creamy, braised French flageolet beans.

Finish with one of the restaurant’s desserts, such as a signature soufflé (you may need to order this in advance), in flavors like Valrhona chocolate, Grand Marnier, pistachio, apple crumble and more. Classic crême brulée and macarons in several flavors are good bets as well.
