One of the newest restaurants in Las Vegas, BOA Steakhouse, has a name that may sound familiar, especially if you’ve dined at its sister properties in California and Austin. BOA Steakhouse’s parent company, Innovative Dining Group, has built a reputation for elegance and quality, not only for its BOA Steakhouses, but also for its Japanese cuisine at Katana in California and Sushi Roku across the Strip at Caesars Palace. At the Grand Canal Shoppes at The Venetian Resort (BOA Steakhouse is located on the second floor in the Palazzo tower), the steakhouse welcomes you with modern, elegant decor and a hospitable atmosphere.

“Las Vegas has always been a city we’ve believed in and felt a strong connection to,” said Lee Maen, founder of Innovative Dining Group in a news release. “We’ve successfully been operating in Las Vegas for more than 20 years, and now we’re thrilled to bring BOA to Grand Canal Shoppes and share a steakhouse experience that combines hospitality, upscale dining and nightlife energy in a way that feels uniquely Las Vegas.”

Start that experience with classic cocktails and delicious apps. For a drink that will keep on giving, choose the Smoke Show, constructed with Knob Creek rye, maple syrup and orange bitters, imbued with applewood smoke. The Blackberry Smash is a tasty twist on that classic theme, with this version using Grey Goose Le Citron vodka, Lejay crème de cassis, blackberry, of course, and mint, with Lejay’s blackcurrant adding to that fruity flavor. Wine aficionados are sure to find plenty to work with considering how expansive the list is.

You’ll do well to order the caviar cones as an app, a tiny mouthful overflowing with roe, chives and crème fraiche. The hamachi crudo is a striking plate, with slices of the delicate fish arranged with black truffle, the tiniest of celery leaves and preserved Meyer lemon.

Wagyu cigars come with black garlic yuzu aioli and chili crisp, and you are sure to want to try the goat cheese baklava. The wedge salad here is close to the classic, with cherry tomatoes layering against applewood-smoked bacon and blue cheese dressing. The tableside Caesar salad presentation adds a bit of drama before your entrée.

And BOA Steakhouse has those entrées! Here, you’ll find primarily Creekstone Farms products like BOA Steakhouse’s signature 21-day dry-aged tomahawk for two or the 15-day dry-aged ribeye. Joining those is the 40-day dry-aged New York strip. That’s not all; there are selections of Australian wagyu and A5 Japanese wagyu as well.

Not into steak? Chicken Parm, lobster fra diavolo, Ora King salmon, Nova Scotia lobster tail and roasted king crab are just a few things to look for on the menu. On the side, the BOA “boujee” twice-baked potato has crème fraiche, chives and Royal Select caviar. Mac and cheese offers options like truffle, lobster and original.
