Veggie enthusiasts must start in the “For The Table” section, because there’s much to love. Nosh on delectable heirloom tomatoes with red onion, lemon, arugula and goat cheese before indulging in the beets & ricotta, an absolutely irresistible combination highlighted by basil, pistachio, balsamico bianco and stone fruits. Carb lovers should peruse the pizza and pasta sections for some great treats. Try the clam pie with green garlic, Manila clams and lemon for something distinctly coastal, or have the chicken cannelloni in Alfredo sauce with crispy rosemary and Parm for an ultra-rich bite.
Now for the meat of the menu, the mains. Mediterranean sea bream offers light, flaky fish, coated in delicious lemon butter, capers and wild greens for a satisfying dinner, but those who want a heavier meal should consider the heritage pork chop with roasted peppers and
red wine agrodolce or the wagyu short rib that’s been braised for 36 hours with black garlic and served with punchy pickled radicchio and Barolo jus.
This is one of those dining rooms that makes sipping a glass of wine feel oh so right. Pair the Vermentino with a seafood delight or enjoy the Nebbiolo alongside a rich pasta or fattier cut of meat like the 14-ounce ribeye. If wine just doesn’t do it for you, have a cocktail like the refreshing spritz citron with Acqua di Cedro, prosecco and fresh basil.
Italian desserts are the best companions to an after-dinner cup of coffee, and Balla has all the hits. Satisfy your sweet tooth with the decadent dark chocolate tart featuring hazelnuts, mascarpone and Nutella, or have the fluffy bomboloni with sweet cream and raspberry preserves.
