Tripicchio’s family has been pumping out pies all over Southern California for more than three decades, bringing their authentic flavors—many of the recipes come from his grandmother’s kitchen—with the sauce, the ziti and the salad dressings.
The cheese and pepperoni pies will more than satisfy, but we also suggest trying Mulberry’s specialty pies, which have been so popular that they’ve become part of the permanent menu. The bulgogi pizza is a Korean barbecue-style pizza with bulgogi beef in a made-in-house marinade, onions, scallions and homemade spicy mayo, while the carne asada pizza includes carne asada steak, pico de gallo, cilantro, salsa verde sauce and a made-in-house cilantro aioli drizzle.
“Please come visit us and you’ll see—a lot of people tell us we’re the best,” Tripicchio said. “We never abandon quality; it’s always going to be top-notch.”
Besides the authentic and creative eats, don’t skip out on the drinks. Longtime friend of the family Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson partnered with Mulberry Street Pizzeria to offer the actor’s tequila brand Teremana. You can get the spirit in frozen margarita form, best-sellers for the restaurant.
