Choose three of your favorite offerings at your property.
My favorite offerings at Wynn and Encore Las Vegas are Delilah, The Buffet and our fantastic nightlife, XS and Encore Beach Club. Each is beautiful. These are my go-to recommendations for anyone looking to visit Las Vegas. Delilah brings you back to old Las Vegas with glitz and glam, while our buffet is delicious and features a variety of dishes and cuisines so there’s something for everyone. Nightlife is a signature aspect of the city, and ours presents a vibrant and exciting time with Marshmello, The Chainsmokers and more.
What are your go-to lunch spots both on and off the Strip?
I enjoy getting lunch at Wazuzu, located at Encore. The baked king crab roll is delicious and melts in your mouth; I could eat it every day. Off the Strip, I love 9 Thai Kitchen. It is a smaller restaurant but features the most amazing flavors. I recommend the pad see ew and recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for something unique—it is a hidden local gem.
Name some of your favorite steakhouses and why?
Two of my favorites are Cleaver and Herbs and Rye. The staff at Cleaver is always so friendly, and I really enjoy sitting at the bartop to chat with them. Herbs and Rye offers amazing food for fantastic prices. The atmosphere and staff at both are what makes them stand out.
What spots are great to grab a late-night drink?
Beginning at 11 p.m., the spot to be is Delilah at Wynn Las Vegas. They have live music nightly, but the atmosphere is the most lively and energetic at that time. I highly recommend the Slip of the Tongue cocktail—the sweetness of it is just right, and it’s very aesthetically pleasing as well.
What great restaurants are open 24 hours a day?
Pho Kim Long and Shokku Ramen (both located in the same plaza in Chinatown) have been absolute lifesavers. There is nothing better than getting pho or ramen, your choice, based on preference, after a night out. It is a delicious way to end the night. It does get busier later in the day, but like they say, “If there is a line, then you know it is good!”
Where is there to go to listen to live music?
Under the canopy at Fremont Street Experience, there are many stages that host free live concerts. You can enjoy the music as you are walking along, or you can stop and dance. It is a terrific opportunity to hear local talent and even some well-known artists.
Where can a guest go to get their hair and makeup done?
Most Strip resorts are going to have a spa and salon where guests can get pampered and ready for an event. Wynn and Encore have many skilled hairstylists and makeup artists that can get any guest ready for their special occasion. Our team does an exceptionally good job listening to what the guest wants and turning it into reality. It’s always a five-star experience.
What are some of your favorite wedding chapels?
My parents were married at the Little Church of the West. It is small and intimate and gives the bride and groom an option between a traditional minister or a fun impersonator. This chapel is an iconic city landmark and was featured in the movie Viva Las Vegas starring Elvis Presley. It’s truly a fantastic way to have your Vegas-style wedding, with extra points if you are married by The King.
What spots on the Strip can the whole family enjoy?
If your family loves thrills, Adventuredome at Circus Circus is perfect. One of their roller coasters features a 90-degree drop, which is quite the adrenaline rush! The whole family will have lots of fun with rides suited for everyone, from the most adventurous to those who enjoy tamer rides. Off the Strip, there is AREA15, which is amazing for everyone and features a lot of different exhibitions.
What are some top romantic dinner spots?
In no particular order, I suggest 1.) Chéri Rooftop at Paris, it has beautiful views and the allure of Paris (the City of Love!). 2.) Casa Playa at Encore. The beautiful flowers make for an impactful entryway and a great picture at this coastal Mexican restaurant. The low ambient lighting also allows for a more intimate experience. 3.) And Marche Bacchus (off the Strip). Located on a man-made lake, it has patio seating great for dates and romantic views of the sunset.
Can you share some speakeasy spots and how to get in?
There is a speakeasy tucked away at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas called the Ski Lodge, near Wicked Spoon. Ski Lodge transports you back to an ’80s ski resort reminiscent of the movie Hot Tub Time Machine. I recommend the Slava’s Snowstorm cocktail, which is a mixture of hot and cold, and delicious. There is also a speakeasy located off Las Vegas Boulevard at the Durango Casino & Resort called Wax Rabbit. It is within the Mijo restaurant. Upon entering, go inside and, on your right, behind the bookshelf display, awaits the magic. Inside it is mysterious and intimate, with a live DJ. The cocktails are fantastic, my favorite being the mezcal margarita.
Are there any spots that offer dinner and a show?
Delilah at Wynn Las Vegas has amazing cuisine that pairs well with their live performances. Performances vary and while you never know who you will get, it is an incredible experience each time. I always recommend this as a “must” during anyone’s trip. But be sure to book in advance, this is one of the resort’s most popular locations and reservations are highly coveted.
What are some of the best pieces of advice that you offer to your guests?
Definitely plan ahead, but do not feel restricted by your itinerary. Identify the big “must dos” and then build from there. I recommend speaking to a concierge, as they know the most about the city and can offer recommendations. You can always go with the flow after selecting your main attractions as this will let you discover the adventure that Las Vegas has to offer.
What are three attractions off the Strip that visitors should not miss?
I strongly recommend checking out Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area. Whether a hike or driving through the park via their scenic route, it is one of the best things to see. Additionally, Lake Las Vegas is a great destination during the summer. There is a floating trampoline park and paddleboarding, which allows you to cool off in the summer. Lastly, check out Hoover Dam. It is a marvel to see in person and offers a fascinating history.
What are three of your most-suggested shows to see and why?
A must-see is Awakening at Wynn Las Vegas. Entering the theater, you become immediately immersed in beautiful design. The soundtrack, costumes and performances are all stunning. Pro tip: there are no bad seats because it is a theatre-in-the-round—so anywhere you sit you will have an amazing time with great views. My other favorite is DISCOSHOW at The Linq Hotel. This show focuses on the disco era and includes audience participation. I recommend bringing comfortable shoes and your best boogie outfit. And before going to the show, I recommend stopping by the subway phone booth bar located inside the venue. Pick up the phone and follow the instructions—trust me! Lastly, I recommend Absinthe at Caesars Palace. This is better suited for adults and would be great for a bachelorette or bachelor party; and be ready to laugh. A secret? There may be one or more opportunities to embarrass your friends and volunteer them for some stage time.
What are some of the more affordable ways to enjoy Las Vegas?
Las Vegas can be expensive, but it does not have to be. Each resort will offer a promotion from time to time, making it easier to book a room that fits your needs. You can walk Las Vegas Boulevard for free and take in all the sights. Fremont Street Experience is also an area to see, with its light-up canopy featuring free showings nightly. Throughout the city, you can find smaller bars and stores with competitive prices. And if you want to experience a club, I recommend finding a promoter. They can assist with guest lists and drink vouchers and make other recommendations. Las Vegas is accessible and can be affordable; you just have to look in the right spots.
What lounges have the best views of Las Vegas at night?
To view the city, a great spot is Allē Lounge on 66 at Resorts World. I suggest the espresso martini with cookie butter topping. There is an accessible area with a lookout that is perfect for pictures. Additionally, Foundation Room at Mandalay Bay has amazing views and a large balcony area for Instagram-worthy photos.
What nightclubs offer the best experience for the price?
My absolute favorite nightclubs in Las Vegas are XS and Encore Beach Club. Both are beautifully designed and spacious, leaving ample room to dance and take those glam shots. They feature great headliners like The Chainsmokers, Slander, RL Grime, etc. and no show is like the last, making every night its own must-see experience. It’s a 10 out of 10; I recommend both for any trip to Las Vegas!
What are some of the best Chinatown eateries?
Chinatown in Las Vegas is honestly unmatched; the best food and hidden gems are there. Locals love China Mama, which features sweet and savory honey walnut shrimp that will leave you wanting more. Their mapo tofu zings with flavor and pairs beautifully with steamed rice. As mentioned previously—after a night on the town, nothing is better than Pho Kim Long. Their broth is delicious, and the pho is a generous size for a great price.
What are some of your favorite downtown restaurants and bars?
Downtown Las Vegas has a more relaxed and laid-back feel than the Strip. There is no pressure to wear heels or dress up, and better for casual bar-hopping. Commonwealth is one of the many popular bars featuring an indoor DJ, as well as a rooftop DJ, for different music options. Next door is the popular We All Scream. This bar has three areas in total with indoor and outdoor options. The rooftop specializes in techno/EDM music. And a unique feature for this bar is that they are also known for their ice cream ... which is a must-try when visiting the area. If you want an iconic photo that is a staple for the Fremont East scene, head to Corduroy. When you enter, head to the back and on the left there is a door. Enter this door and be met with a room full of lights perfect for group photos, a couples shot, and any other photo needs.
What spots transport guests back to old-school Las Vegas?
Downtown has many historic and iconic landmarks that will make you feel like you are back in old Las Vegas. The Plaza has been featured in many movies such as Back to the Future. There is also The Mob Museum, which will give you an inside scoop about the old Las Vegas mob scene.
What are some of the most unique spots in Las Vegas?
Wynn is the only resort on the Strip that that has a golf course, which is beautiful and features a waterfall. It also has great views of one of the other most unique things about Las Vegas as of recent: the Sphere. It’s enormous and a sight to see. The visuals on the outside of the Sphere are awe-inspiring and must be seen in person to get the full effect.
If you could plan the perfect day in Las Vegas what would it entail?
First up is breakfast. I highly recommend Jardin at Wynn. The spiral croissant sandwich is my favorite and pairs perfectly with a bellini to start the day off right. Afterwards, I would enjoy some gaming to try my luck and feel the traditional excitement of the city. During summer, I would check out a dayclub in the afternoon to let loose and have fun. Toward the end of the night, I would wind down with dinner at Mizumi and enjoy their sushi and sashimi offerings that leave my mouth watering just thinking about it. At the conclusion of dinner, I would see a later showing of Awakening before retiring to my room.
What spots have the best burgers?
On the Strip, the best burger is at STK at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas. It comes with an over-easy egg that really enhances the flavor. Off the Strip, there is Fukuburger. There are multiple locations, all offering the same amazing quality. I personally go to the one near Chinatown, and I recommend trying the #5 karai burger. All burgers are top tier, but that one is just my favorite!
What restaurants are great for vegans and vegetarians?
Mizumi at Wynn has a large selection of items that are vegan and vegetarian. This includes vegetable tempura, vegetarian udon noodle soup, and more. Across the street at Resorts World Las Vegas is Crossroads Kitchen, a great restaurant known for its vegan and vegetarian options. I haven’t tried it yet, but everyone has wonderful things to say about it.
What do you appreciate most about the VEGAS2GO publication?
This is an all-in-one guide with great resources and information for anyone who is visiting. There is so much to do in Las Vegas that you may not even know about, so this publication is great, as it lists many of the unique experiences the city has to offer, allowing you to maximize your time and pick the best activities for you!
What do you and/or your guests find most helpful or useful when using the publication?
The publication’s easy-to-read format allows you to see and find the spots that best suit your interests and needs. It is great for all tourists and visitors to have as it will help make their trip that much better.
