Name some of your favorite steakhouses and why.
My Favorite steakhouses are Delmonico Steakhouse at The Venetian Resort, Emmitt’s Vegas at FSLV–Fashion Show Las Vegas and Echo & Rig in Summerlin.
Delmonico Steakhouse is elegant, traditional fine dining, which provides just enough of a Creole influence to create a memorable experience. With a superior collection of spirits, don’t forget to visit the bar for a good “old fashioned” time!
Emmit’s Vegas is one of the newest on the strip but a definite must in my opinion! The restaurant rushes in as any (Dallas) Cowboy’s dream to dine sufficiently in a contemporary yet comfortable setting. The staff is friendly, the steaks melt in your mouth and the wine selections are the champion’s choice.
Locally, Echo & Rig is one of my favorites because they offer quality, freshly cut steaks, cooked over white oak for an affordable price. It’s one of those trendy local restaurants where you can get together with friends, eat good food and simply enjoy yourself.
What spots are great to grab a late-night drink?
A great place to grab a late-night drink at The Venetian is the Juliet Cocktail Room. You can’t go wrong with their hand-curated cocktails and live musical performances. Add a little spice to your life by trying the “Spicy Flamingo” cocktail.
I also enjoy a little gem called Liam’s Den & Bubble Bar inside the Grand Canal Shoppes at The Venetian. Anyone who knows me, knows that my favorite “girl dinner” consists of a well-plated charcuterie board and a light bodied glass of pinot noir. Now imagine enjoying the charcuterie while sipping your wine/cocktail near a decorative, life-sized cherry blossom tree in a dimly lit lounge setting. It’s such a treat at the end of a long workday!
When I have friends in town, one of the best kept secrets is the Aft Cocktail Deck at The Wynn. On a gorgeous Vegas evening you can enjoy an exquisite cocktail on the Lake of Dreams, all while watching artistic productions on the lake.
Where is there to go to listen to live music?
Juliet Cocktail Room at The Venetian provides Thursday night jazz sets, The Nowhere Lounge at The Fontainebleau offers a variety of acts throughout the week, and off-the-strip The infamous Sand Dollar is always a big hit!
Where can a guest go to get their hair and makeup done?
Creative Bridal will assist guests with hair & makeup needs during their stay. The best part, they come to you, making it a comfortable and convenient experience.
What are some of your favorite wedding chapels?
The Little White Chapel will always hold a special place in my heart because that’s where my parents wed in 1978. The Little Church of the West is the most charming wedding chapel in the desert. Lastly, any wedding chapel where there’s an Elvis impersonator. With Elvis around, people just can’t help falling in love.
What spots on the Strip can the whole family enjoy?
As a mother of three, a family-friendly adventure always creates a memorable experience! My family loves visiting the Grand Canal Shoppes at The Venetian Resort. Families can enjoy attractions such as the PanIQ Escape Room, The Sandbox VR (Virtual Reality,) the indoor gondola ride, and just outside they’ll find Madame Tussauds Las Vegas. It’s a one-stop shop!
The Bellagio’s Conservatory & Botanical Gardens is the perfect destination for family photos and, of course, The Bellagio fountains are the most mesmerizing feature on the Strip.
The Oasis Cinema Club at the Fontainebleau is a wonderful offering for families wanting to enjoy films like The Incredibles, Coco and Moana while lounging by the pool on a beautiful summer evening.
Can you share some speakeasy spots and how to get in?
In my opinion The Cosmopolitan Las Vegas has the best speakeasies in town! If I had to choose one, it would be the Ghost Donkey. Without giving away too much information, look for the hidden door with the colorful donkey and enjoy the finest agave spirits your liver can withstand.
Would you like a sweet treat? Visit the Aria and seek the donut shop. Tucked away behind the glaze you’ll find Easy’s Cocktail Lounge, an intimate lounge with silky styles of bespoke musical acts.
If candy is your sweet escape, visit Caramella at Planet Hollywood. Caramella’s hidden lounge will draw you in with its ’70s vintage glamour, full-service bar, and smooth grooves from the DJ spinning the night away.
Are there any spots that offer dinner and a show?
The most popular options for dinner and a show are the Mayfair Supper Club at Bellagio and Delilah at The Wynn. Both venues will offer elevated cuisine, energetic performances and maybe a surprise guest or two.
If you’re looking for a casual “Kiss My Country…” kind of time, Blake Shelton’s Ole Red is the place. This prime piece of real estate provides spectacular views and live music as you grub on some good ole southern cuisine.
What are some of the best pieces of advice that you offer to your guests?
If it’s your first time in Las Vegas, keep your itinerary open to spontaneity. Venturing out on the Strip can be enticing, exhilarating, and at times overwhelming. It truly is best to allow the magic of Vegas to whisk you away. Some of my most memorable nights in this glitzy city are the ones that weren’t planned.
Another piece of advice: “Always use your concierge team!” We’re here to help and without you, we wouldn’t love what we do.
What are three attractions off the Strip that visitors should not miss?
AREA15 has so much to offer and caters to all. The Springs Preserve will provide a bit of Nevada history and multiple exhibits. Lake Las Vegas is a gorgeous escape providing tranquility, golfing, dining and so much more.
What are three of your most-suggested shows to see and why?
Shin Lim at The Venetian, Postcard from Earth at Sphere and Awakening at The Wynn are my most suggested shows. Each of these shows is within walking distance of The Venetian Resort, which is important to many travelers.
Shin Lim is a great magician and we’re happy to say, having him at the Palazzo Theater has drawn additional patrons to the resort.
Postcard from Earth is such a spectacular immersive film at Sphere. The images of earth’s landscapes, cultures and creatures are absolutely stunning and worth watching.
Awakening is a multimillion-dollar production. The stage movement and costume imagery are magnificent. You won’t find anything else like it in the world.
What are some of the more affordable ways to enjoy Las Vegas?
You don’t have to spend your life’s savings to enjoy a city like Las Vegas. Although we would love for everyone to stay at the luxurious resort on Las Vegas Boulevard, a more affordable stay would be off the Strip. While staying off the Strip it’s much more feasible to dine at local restaurants like Herbs & Rye, Nora’s Italian Cuisine or Casa di Amore (which offers complimentary transportation to the restaurant). Look for happy hour options with the best deals and in the evenings, enjoy local lounges like the Golden Tiki, Mariposa Cocina, Splash Supper Club or The Sand Dollar. Complimentary shows such as the Bellagio fountains or The Fall of Atlantis at The Forum Shops at Caesars are easy to find as well.
What are some of your favorite downtown restaurants and bars?
Sadly, I don’t frequent downtown as much as I would like. The restaurants that are on the top of my list to try are Barry’s Downtown Prime at Circa Resort & Casino. Barry Dakake is an amazing chef, and many know his food is top notch. Esther’s Kitchen because everyone raves about it. I would also love to try Todd English’s The Pepper Club for brunch. It sounds like a good time.
What spots transport guests back to old-school Las Vegas?
Piero’s Italian Cuisine, no explanation needed. The State Museum at the Springs Preserve and the Mob Museum all provide a great nostalgic feeling, taking you back to “old Vegas.”
What restaurants are great for vegan and vegetarians?
Gjelina at The Venetian is hands down one of the best options for vegans and vegetarians. At Gjelina all ingredients are fresh, organic and utterly delicious.
HaSalon by Chef Eyal Shani, also at The Venetian, is a vegan & vegetarian dream. A family style serving of fresh vegetables and locally sourced ingredients to create a lively Mediterranean experience like no other.
One restaurant I haven’t tried and I’m certainly looking forward to doing so: Crossroads Kitchen at Resorts World Las Vegas. It’s upscale, a great ambiance for a date night or dinner with friends, and there are items on the menu for everyone.
What do you appreciate most about the VEGAS2GO publication?
I absolutely appreciate the abundance of information the publication offers. The map of Las Vegas Blvd is the cherry on top!
What do you and/or your guests find most helpful or useful when using the publication?
The details listed in this publication are excellent for many travelers, but in my opinion the most helpful tool is the map of Las Vegas Boulevard. Having the ability to visually show the guests how to get from one resort to the next makes our jobs much easier.
