From the Electric Daisy Carnival to the Route 91 Harvest Festival, there’s a festival out there for every taste. But one that’s guaranteed to appeal to all genres is the iHeartRadio Music Festival, now in its fifth year. The annual event brings together top acts with radio hits that you can’t seem to get out of your head—hence the name. This year, acts like The Weeknd, Nick Jonas, Fall Out Boy, Blake Shelton, Sam Smith, Janet Jackson and Kanye West are ready to bring the house down at MGM Grand Garden Arena Sept. 18-19.

The Weeknd has come a long way since his record-breaking album Kiss Land. From his erotic single “Earned It” from the Fifty Shades of Grey soundtrack to securing a Las Vegas concert residency, The Weeknd is at the height of his career. So is Nick Jonas. The solo artist-turned Jonas Brothers member and Disney star-turned solo artist once again has topped the charts with “Jealous” and “Chains,” both of which have made him a hot commodity in the pop music industry.

Fresh off a joint tour with rapper Wiz Khalifa, Fall Out Boy is set to rock the festival, too. It would seem hard to follow up after a track like “Centuries,” but oddly enough the catchy “Uma Thurman” does the trick. Switching gears, you’ve heard Sam Smith way before “Stay With Me”—you just may not know it. Trivia fact: Smith lent his vocals to Disclosure’s 2012 breakthrough single “Latch.” Since then he’s seen success with his debut album In the Lonely Hour and earned accolades such as Best New Artist at this year’s Grammy Awards.

Perhaps the artist that stands out most on the roster is Janet… Miss Jackson if you’re nasty. After a four-year hiatus, Jackson is back with a new album Unbreakable slated for an Oct. 2 release and a comeback tour, which will undoubtedly cover her huge hits with everything from “Let’s Wait Awhile” to “All for You.” And no matter how controversial he is, Kanye West, who makes his first-ever appearance at the festival, delivers when it comes to music, with songs “All Day” and “FourFiveSeconds” with Paul McCartney and Rihanna. The latest addition to the lineup is Jennifer Lopez, who returns to the festival just ahead of her Las Vegas residency next year.

Lil Wayne

Diddy, Lil Wayne, Jason Derulo and Trey Songz round out the list of hip-hop and R&B acts, while Diplo, David Guetta and Disclosure bring the EDM. On the country side, Blake Shelton and Kenny Chesney show off their Southern charm. Demi Lovato and Tove Lo do pop, Prince Royce digs into his Latin roots and Hozier gives audiences a mix of indie rock and blues. Last but not least, Duran Duran, The Killers and Coldplay complete the rock lineup.

In previous years, the festival has seen Usher, Chris Brown, Nicki Minaj, Taylor Swift, Iggy Azalea, Ed Sheeran, One Direction, Drake, Maroon 5 and Justin Timberlake. The first-ever festival, held in 2011, welcomed Jane’s Addiction, Alicia Keys, Jay Z, Jennifer Lopez and Lady Gaga.

In 2013, the festival expanded to include the iHeartRadio Daytime Village, an outdoor concert and interactive experience for fans. Headliners at this year’s Daytime Village, held at MGM Resorts Village across the street from Luxor, include Shawn Mendes, Hozier, Tove Lo, Trey Songz, Walk the Moon, Nick Jonas, Big Sean, Lee Brice, George Ezra, Tori Kelly and Echosmith, just to name a few.

The festival streams live on Yahoo! and iHeartMedia’s radio stations and airs on The CW Network Sept. 29-30.
