Backed by a five-piece band for numbers like “Viva Las Vegas” and using a large screen to show clips of himself as a young man, Newton regales audiences with stories about Jack Benny, Bobby Darin, Jackie Gleason, George Burns and many more, even doing a “duet” with footage of Sammy Davis Jr. performing “You’re Nobody ‘Til Somebody Loves You.” Class is in session—you really should attend.
