If there’s any rapper who fits perfectly as a Las Vegas resident performer, it’s Pitbull. The Miami-based rapper, nicknamed Mr. Worldwide, is one of the strongest showmen in hip-hop, with songs full of big pop hooks and an infectious, party-friendly vibe that draws in fans of all types. So it’s no surprise that Pitbull is back for another round of dates at the Planet Hollywood venue that also features pop superstars Britney Spears, the Backstreet Boys and Jennifer Lopez, or that he hopes to establish a long-term presence in Las Vegas. “Obviously, that would be the goal, to have something permanent in Vegas,” the rapper told Las Vegas Magazine before his last set of shows last year.

Pitbull’s Vegas show, dubbed Time of Our Lives, features a range of the rapper’s hits, including “Fireball,” “On the Floor” and “You Really Want Me,” in a dynamic, high-energy stage show that Las Vegas Weekly called “a musical extrasensory experience.”

Pitbull strengthened his ties to Las Vegas by opening his second Sports Leadership and Management (SLAM) charter school locally last year, proving that he’s invested in the people and the community and not just the lights and glitz of the Strip.

There’s a good chance you’ll see a lot more of him in Vegas.
