UNLVino gives you an excuse to wine
Lovers of food and drink might share this notion of paradise: show-stopping bites paired with vibrant sips as far as the eye can see. UNLVino makes it real, and this 45th year of the beloved Las Vegas festival promises three distinctive nights of indulgence. Champagne and sparkling wine will flow during Bubble-Licious at the Keep Memory Alive Event Center, alongside special dishes from popular Las Vegas restaurants. Think French Moët or California Coppola (or both) with savory richness from retro-swank gem the Barrymore.
Sake Fever at Red Rock Casino Resort & Spa celebrates Japanese rice wine, sprits and cocktails, the accompanying Asian-inspired plates sharing the spotlight with a theatrical 300-pound tuna carving. If sake isn’t your thing, try the aromatic sweetness of Takara plum wine. Whatever you drink, don’t be afraid to pair it with Thai delicacies from local institution Lotus of Siam. The signature Grand Tasting at The Mirage Events Center samples wine, spirits, craft beer and mixology, plus a smorgasbord courtesy of local culinary stars and students of UNLV’s hospitality college. Steakhouses to sushi spots, classic Indian to gourmet hot dogs, the food can hang with any beverage.
UNLVino doesn’t mean just a great night out. The longest-running fest of its kind in the city raises funds for scholarships to the prestigious William F. Harrah College of Hospitality. So, your ticket buy is connected to the next generation of food-and-beverage innovators. Everybody wins. –Erin Ryan
