For Cole Swindell, the first step in his country career was pledging the Sigma Chi fraternity at Georgia Southern University. That’s where he met Sigma Chi alum Luke Bryan, and Swindell spent the next several years working with Bryan, from selling merchandise on tour to co-writing numerous Bryan songs. Swindell also worked as a writer for Thomas Rhett, Florida Georgia Line, Chris Young and others, before breaking out as an artist in his own right with the 2013 single “Chillin’ It.” Since then, Swindell has toured with Luke Bryan, Jason Aldean, Dierks Bentley and other top stars, and he’s amassed his own string of hits, including “Hope You Get Lonely Tonight,” “You Should Be Here,” “Middle of a Memory” and “Break Up in the End.”

Swindell’s third album, 2018’s All of It, debuted at the top of the Billboard country charts and in the top 10 of the overall album charts, and Newsday said it was “packed with well-crafted future sing-alongs.” Craft is something that Swindell knows well, after years of working for other artists and helping to define the party-friendly “bro country” sound. Whether he’s celebrating a good time or lamenting lost love, Swindell is a top-notch craftsman.
