The Tony Award-winning musical Anastasia tells the now-familiar story of a young woman who has no memory of her past and meets up with two con artists, Vlad and Dimitry, who plan on transforming her into the long-lost Anastasia Romanov. Their motive is greed as they want the money offered by Anastasia's grandmother, the Dowager Empress Maria, who escaped from Russia prior to the killing of the Romanovs and now lives in Paris. She hopes to someday be reunited with her granddaughter but requires proof from anyone claiming to be her. Amidst a beautiful score, the street sweeper named Anya, who bears a striking resemblance to Anastasia, is prepped by Vlad and Dimitry, who mold her in the ways of the aristocracy, then present her to the Empress.

Inspired by the 1956 film and the 1997 animated movie, Anastasia is filled with gorgeous scenery and breathtaking costumes as the story unfolds from the drabness of Russia to the opulence of Paris. Falling snow, flowers that bloom and stars that twinkle add to the ambience.
