Lots of ways to laugh

You probably know versatile performer David Alan Grier best from his breakthrough role on the innovative 1990s sketch comedy show In Living Color, where he created and embodied so many memorable characters it’s hard to choose a favorite. But the Detroit born actor and comedian and graduate of the Yale School of Drama has appeared in a multitude of films and TV shows, done voice work for animated programs and appeared on countless radio shows, and starred in Broadway musicals and dramas. One of his latest projects marks a return to TV comedy as a guest on the new A Black Lady Sketch Show on HBO—you can catch him live on one of the Strip’s newest stand-up stages Aug. 22-25 at Jimmy Kimmel’s Comedy Club at The Linq Promenade.

Must-See: The Beatles LOVE

It might not seem like it, but the LOVE Theatre at The Mirage is the largest Cirque du Soleil space on the Las Vegas Strip, holding just over 2,000 people for twice-nightly shows of The Beatles LOVE. The high-definition video projections layered onto practically every surface in the room and the thousands of embedded speakers combine to create a truly immersive entertainment experience, but the real wonder is how the stage landscape evolves throughout the show to create vast colorful canvases for these artists to display their skills.
