The heart of Heart has always been sisters Ann and Nancy Wilson, so it was devastating for fans of the longtime classic-rock band when the two decided to go their separate ways in 2016. Thankfully, the family bonds have been restored, and both Wilsons are on board for Heart’s latest tour, which they’ve appropriately labeled the Love Alive Tour (after their 1977 song). The harmonic interplay between the sisters is the key element in Heart hits from early rockers “Barracuda,” “Crazy on You” and “Magic Man,” to later pop-oriented singles “These Dreams” and “All I Wanna Do Is Make Love to You.” Heart has been a major force in hard rock for four decades, and the Wilsons are unofficial matriarchs of the Seattle rock scene.

“I think the tour will spark some positive new energy as we rediscover some of our iconic songs and also some fan favorites,” Ann said in the tour announcement, and the band clearly has renewed passion since the sisters’ reconciliation. They’re bringing along some fellow powerhouse female rockers on this tour, and Joan Jett opens the Vegas show, with attitude-filled hits like “Bad Reputation” and “I Love Rock ’n’ Roll” that provide the perfect complement to Heart’s catchy hard-rock anthems.
