Ray Romano and David Spade have been regular parts of our television habits for nearly 30 years now. That’s some impressive staying power. Both comedians have been able to translate their stand-up personas over to the small screen successfully. Spade came into our lives first as the snarky, sarcastic whip on Saturday Night Live in a class that also included Adam Sandler, Rob Schneider and the late Chris Farley.

Spade and Farley went on to make two memorable films in the 1990s, the excellent Tommy Boy and then with the pretty good Black Sheep. In both films, the lovable Farley played against the snappy Spade and their physical and personality differences proved to be comedic gold.

Romano created and starred in one of the most popular sitcoms of all time, Everybody Loves Raymond. The family dynamics on that show, based on Romano’s standup, hit home with viewers everywhere. It was relatable in a deeply funny way.

Both comics are still pushing themselves as live performers, with Romano putting out his latest stand-up special—Ray Romano: Right Here Around The Corner—earlier this year, and Spade currently enjoying a run with his new Comedy Central show, Lights Out With David Spade. Go see why these two are likely to be around for as long as they’d like to be.
