Complete Package
There's a sneaky and fun opening scene with a backstage-rehearsal vibe that escalates quickly into a magnificent leap from a tall platform. There's a lot of storytelling mixed into all that memorable pop choreography. There's a funked-up version of "Opposites Attract" and an emotional interpretive dance with "Blowing Kisses in the Wind." And there's a slightly profane live-action version of MC Skat Kat. Paula Abdul is pulling out all the stops during her Forever Your Girl residency, a very big show she somehow fits into the intimate and classic Flamingo Showroom nine more times before the end of the year, starting Dec. 17. If you're a fan, she's giving you everything you could hope for. If you're not, you will be by the time the curtain drops.

Must-See: R.U.N
Adjust your expectations. R.U.N at Luxor may be a Cirque du Soleil show, but you've never experienced anything like it, and you'll be shocked and surprised if you've prepared yourself for a dreamy escape into a world of artistic acrobats. In R.U.N, combatants from rival street gangs go at each other in an abandoned fireworks factory, leading to a fiery finale. An adrenaline-fueled desert car chase you'd see in a Hollywood blockbuster action flick comes to life in front of your eyes, complete with more fighting atop the moving vehicle and daring motorcycle stunts. All that action will cloud your judgment, leaving you unprepared for the plot twists and supercharged stunt work that define this innovative production. Buckle up. R.U.N runs Wednesdays through Sundays at Luxor.
