It’s impossible to not be in a good mood by the time Cirque du Soleil’s Mystère begins; as everyone takes their seats, a mischievous clown does all he can to create mayhem, from leading ticketholders to the wrong seats to spilling popcorn on unsuspecting seated patrons. And that sense of mischief, combined with merriment and celebration, continues unfettered as the stage is beset by all manner of athletes—strongmen, aerialists, tumblers, gymnasts, contortionists and so much more—all dressed in vivid costumes that provide endless eye candy as you marvel at what the human body is capable of.
