The old saying that good things come in small packages is ever so true when you talk about 5-foot-3, three-time Tony award-winner Bernadette Peters. The dynamic redhead makes one of her rare Las Vegas appearances this week.
The iconic artist’s concert includes her interpretation of well-known musical songs she has performed during her amazing Broadway career. Peters will be backed by a 10-piece live band, which will accompany her as she delivers hit tunes from such classic Broadway hits as Hello, Dolly!, Annie Get Your Gun and Gypsy.
While this entertainment icon may be best known for her legendary Broadway career, she also has starred in films such as The Jerk, (with former boyfriend Steve Martin), Annie and Pennies From Heaven, for which she earned a Golden Globe award for Best Actress in a Musical Comedy.
Peters has dozens of TV credits and has even found time to author three children’s books. An avid animal lover, Peters co-founded Broadway Barks with the late Mary Tyler Moore, and some proceeds from the books are used to support this animal adoption charity.
