As an artist, Michael Jackson wore many fedoras—singer, songwriter, storyteller, dancer, choreographer, entertainer, trendsetter, originator, influencer. So it’s only fitting that a show paying tribute to such a multifaceted performer would encapsulate all of these qualities—fitting, but not exactly easy. Indeed, anyone who attends Michael Jackson ONE by Cirque du Soleil for the first time will undoubtedly exit the theater asking themselves the same question: How’d they do that?

A sensory spectacle as dynamic as the King of Pop himself, ONE takes audiences on a mesmerizing, impeccably choreographed journey in which more than 60 actors, dancers, aerialists and acrobats reinterpret Jackson’s unparalleled artistic spirit. Of course, the common thread that weaves through Michael Jackson ONE's storyline is an iconic soundtrack that plays nearly three dozen hits through three speakers that were built into the headrests of each of the theater’s 1,804 seats. That state-of-the-art audio experience is supplemented by an array of innovative visuals, including more than 550 lighting fixtures, nearly 300 customized LED elements, 26 projectors and a 40-foot by 30-foot LED wall, are all integral to the immersive atmosphere.

Certainly, Michael Jackson ONE was aptly named: It's a one-of-a-kind show about a one-of-a-kind performer.
