A Big Week for Country Music

Two big new names in Las Vegas entertainment are coming together this week when Florida Georgia Line performs “Blessings” from the Jimmy Kimmel Live! outdoor stage, the first television presentation of the country act’s hot new single scheduled to air on Nov. 11.

FGL and Kimmel are connected via Caesars Entertainment, as Kimmel’s Comedy Club opened at the company’s Linq Promenade this year and the superstar duo continues to perform a series of special concerts at Zappos Theater at Planet Hollywood. Nominated for Vocal Duo of the Year and Favorite Duo or Group at this month’s 53rd annual CMA Awards, Tyler Hubbard and Brian Kelley recently released The Acoustic Sessions and return to the Zappos stage on Nov. 12.

Must-See: 'Magic Mike Live'

You’ve got just two weeks left to catch Magic Mike Live—now an international phenomenon with productions running in London and Berlin—heating up the one-of-a-kind Las Vegas venue where it originated. Channing Tatum’s live interpretation of the hit film series, a thoughtful innovation on the sexy male revue, is performed at 7:30 and 10 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday at Club Domina, a stylish cabaret-in-the-round at the Hard Rock Hotel perfectly suited for this buzz-worthy, dance-centric celebration. But it closes on November 24 to get ready to move to its future Vegas home, the revamped Sahara Las Vegas on the Strip, in the spring of 2020. Get your fix while you still can.

Around the Strip

Paula Abdul celebrated the grand opening of her high-energy Forever Your Girl headlining show at Flamingo with fellow Vegas stars Wayne Newton, Penn Jillette and Mat Franco in the audience. Comedian Kathy Griffin, TV personality Frankie Grande and socialite Kathy Hilton also attended.

Shania Twain caught one of the very first performances of Cirque du Soleil’s new action show R.U.N at Luxor, and the country-pop superstar stuck around to take a photo with the cast and crew.

David Copperfield caught a recent performance of Brian Newman After Dark at the NoMad Restaurant. Newman’s late-night jazz bash continues to generate buzz out of Park MGM. Not only did Lady Gaga swing through yet again to sing a few songs, she also dueted with R&B princess Ashanti.

During the final performance of Journey’s first residency run at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace, band founder and guitarist Neal Schon welcomed Joe Bonamassa to the stage to play along with “Lovin’, Touchin’, Squeezin’.” Schon returned the favor the following night during Bonamassa’s own headlining Colosseum shows when he got up on stage for “Nobody Loves Me But My Mother.”

Jonathan Marchessault celebrated his Vegas Golden Knights’ victory at home over Anaheim by visiting the Grand Canal Shoppes at the Venetian and taking in Atomic Saloon Show. Marchy took a post-show pic with host Madame Boozy Skunkton and The Mayor.
