Andrea Bocelli is one of the best-known opera singers in the world, having sold more than 90 million records across the globe. And his interpretations of some of opera's most well-known songs, including "Nessun Dorma" from Giacomo Puccini's Turandot, will send tingles up one's spine and make one rise to one's feet in applause.

What Bocelli has been able to do is take opera and transcend the genre. Look no further than his breakout hit "Con te partiró," which translates to "With You, I Shall Leave." Once heard, it is a not a song that leaves the consciousness. The power and control of Bocelli's voice as the strings and brass swell behind him lead to a climax that is undeniable.

This song is so popular that after breaking sales records in countries like France and Belgium, it was only topped by another version of Bocelli singing the same song, this time as a duet in English with Sarah Brightman, known as "Time to Say Goodbye." This iteration of the tune has sold over 12 million copies and is one of the biggest singles of all time.
