R.U.N represents a bold new chapter for Cirque du Soleil along with an intriguing concept: What if a team of stuntmen and pyrotechnic effects experts took over a Cirque theater and sent the acrobats on vacation? With all of the fancy new toys and technology at their disposal, the results are explosive.
The show depicts a stylized graphic-novel vision of Sin City with neon lights, Day-Glo graffiti, good guys, criminals, and dark alleys. Main character The Hero opens the show by disrupting a mysterious wedding ceremony. An ominous-looking Groom and his gang of thugs follow in hot pursuit. That set-up becomes an all-around-you adventure teeming with car chases, motorcycle feats, fire effects and high-intensity battles.
R.U.N is penned by film director Robert Rodriguez (Sin City, Alita: Battle Angel), known for his gritty, hyperkinetic approach. He's created a live-action experience unlike anything that Vegas has ever seen. And Cirque du Soleil may never be the same.
