‘Fantasy’ celebrates 20 years at Luxor
The era of the Vegas showgirl may have come to a close, but her spirit comes alive each night at Fantasy. Luxor’s long-running topless revue, which is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year, embraces the glamour of Sin City showgirls in a contemporary new vision. Billed as “The Strip’s Biggest Tease,” it’s the perfect show for fun-loving couples, bachelor(ette) parties or just a night out with friends.
The late-night revue launched as Midnight Fantasy in 1999, at Luxor’s Atrium Theater still remains hip and new. The show has been re-imagined several times by noteworthy talents like Cris Judd and Tiger Martina. Today’s audiences experience the vision of Emmy-winning Mandy Jo Moore, who worked with Fantasy on its most recent refresh. Moore is best known for her work on Dancing With The Stars, So You Think You Can Dance and the Oscar-winning La La Land.
Singer and longtime host Lorena Peril guides the audience through a showcase of spectacular set pieces with powerful vocals and riotous audience interaction. Comedian Sean E. Cooper brings down the house with spot-on impersonations of celebrities James Brown and Tina Turner while dazzling with his own brand of saucy humor.
Director Anita Mann created Fantasy and serves as producer/choreographer. Under her tutelage, cast members have created their own dance sequences and some have even moved into production roles. The cast is also active in many community events and charities around the city. Mann’s proud of everyone who has contributed to the show’s longevity and looks forward to many more years of continued success on the Las Vegas Strip.
“We will be celebrating the past 20 years with some surprise guests as well as moving forward with several new numbers and cast members,” Mann said. “Our goal is to keep Fantasy fresh and alive for as long as we keep our audience entertained and wanting more!”
