Still in His Heart

Now that it’s been luxuriously renovated and made ready to welcome new resident acts like Journey and Sting, the Colosseum at Caesars Palace is moving into a new era of Las Vegas entertainment. But Rod Stewart is far from finished in this legendary theater.

The British singer of Scottish ancestry originally signed on for a two-year tour of Vegas duty beginning in 2011, but his songs and style have proven irreplaceable thus far on the Colosseum stage and his international fans keep coming back.

You can hear “Maggie May,” “Tonight’s the Night” and “Some Guys Have All the Luck” on Sept. 24 and 30, and Oct. 2 and 4-5 at Caesars Palace.

Must-See: Murray the Magician

If you’ve seen comic magician Murray Sawchuck on Pawn Stars or Penn & Teller: Fool Us—or maybe in a hilarious prank video on his YouTube channel, which has nearly 1.6 million subscribers—you might think you’re ready for his frenzied, laugh-filled show at the Laugh Factory at the Tropicana. But you’re not. He has infinite tricks up his sleeve (or up the sleeves of his talented sidekick, Douglas “Lefty” Leferovich) and endless jokes at the ready, and he’s unpacking everything on this intimate stage Sunday through Tuesday at 5 p.m. and Thursday and Saturday at 7 p.m. Just when you think you know where Murray’s act is going, he’ll take it in an entirely different direction, proving he’s mastered the art of entertaining.

Around the Strip

The 6th annual Rise Up Gala benefitting the Tyler Robinson Foundation, a nonprofit organization founded by hometown heroes Imagine Dragons to support families facing a pediatric cancer diagnosis, recently raised $3.2 million during its star-studded gala at Wynn Las Vegas. In attendance this year: Sports legend and Wynn nightlife resident DJ Shaquille O’Neal, actress Alexandra Daddario, cast members from Le Réve, singer Daniel Emmet, actor Dolph Lundgren and local rapper Mike Xavier.

ESPN host and sports reporter Michelle Beadle recently visited the Hard Rock Hotel to catch Channing Tatum’s ultra-hot production Magic Mike Live, and took the time to meet with the cast for a photo after the show.

Corinne Olympios from The Bachelor partied at the new Mama Rabbit bar and lounge at Park MGM, playing table games and sampling Casamigos tequila before heading next door to On the Record for some downtime on the patio and some more cocktailing in the speakeasy-style Vinyl Parlor.

The Vegas Golden Knights are getting ready for a new season, and that means fueling up at one of their favorite Las Vegas restaurants. Mark Stone, Shea Theodore, Brayden McNabb, Cody Eakin, Reilly Smith and Jonathan Marchessault met up with The D casino owner Derek Stevens for a feast at Andiamo Steakhouse. Among the shared dishes were calamari, meatballs, Caesar salad and steaks—with Zip sauce on the side, of course.
