The interior design of the spa and its 62 treatment rooms is reminiscent of natural, outdoor surroundings with upscale, opulent touches throughout each space. Keeping guest safety and health in mind, certain common areas and specialty portions of the spa are closed for now, including the co-ed balcony with infinity-edge pool, the shio salt room and the ganbanyaku stone beds. However, this doesn’t preclude guests from booking one of the spa’s many treatments that will help to restore and rejuvenate the body.
Choose from a list of massage therapies that includes 50-, 80- and 100-minute experiences. For athletes, massage stretching and sport massage techniques are used on the body to improve flexibility and work on the muscles to help relieve tension and bring back an overall balance to the body. Signature massages can include aromatherapy, and there’s even an expecting mother’s massage designed for women in their second and third trimesters. Facials are also available, including signature and classic options as well as guest favorite Vitality of the Glaciers. This 50- or 80-minute facial stimulates the skin’s energy and cellular renewal, helping to erase fine lines and wrinkles, leaving skin glowing and supple.
The salon portion of the spa is also open, and guests can book everything from a cut and color to blowouts and updo styles. For men, the barbershop provides haircuts, head shaves and hot lather shaves. Full nail care is also offered, including gel and acrylic manicures, mani-pedis and paraffin treatments. So, go on, indulge! You’re on a break, after all.
