It’s amore! Clamber into a gondola ride for a fabulous tour through the romance and glamor of Italy, which at present is a little hard to find in person. But here in Vegas, that ambience is abundant.
Board your craft at the dock for either an indoor or outdoor excursion through the canals, where you’ll glide under bridges and nod to patrons of cafés tucked along the cobblestones. To cap the experience off, your gondolier will let loose with a song or two on the way. And if you need a little dramatic flair in the day, get to the center by 9:50 in the morning, when a whole team of gondoliers marches from the gondola turnaround, singing all the way. Catch them again at 4:20 p.m.
Rides in the gondolas start at 10 a.m. for both indoor and outdoor routes, and run well into the evening hours. And although we recommend taking your significant other, it’s also a neat thing for the kiddos to experience. Who knows? Maybe you’ll find you have a future gondolier in your family.
