Do you have a penchant for classic vehicles, especially motorcycles? Then get ready to bid at this weekend’s 30th annual vintage and antique motorcycle auction from Mecum Auctions, the company that’s also behind one of the biggest car shows in Las Vegas.
From April 28-May 1, you’ll find more than 1,700 gorgeous bikes on the block at the Las Vegas Convention Center. Among the offerings are a 1929 Douglas SW5 Speed Model; all the models of the Knucklehead Harley-Davidson Knucklehead series, including a 1936 Harley-Davidson, 1943 Harley-Davidson E Model and a 1947 Harley-Davidson FL; a restored 1911 Pierce Four Cylinder and many, many more. Of particular note in the incredible field is a 1907 Harley-Davidson Strap Tank with an original engine bearing No. 1877. This model has been displayed in museums and featured in the book Heroes of Harley-Davidson.
This year, only registered bidders and consignors will be admitted to the auction. Registration is $200 and includes admission to all four days of the event. If you still want to bid, but aren’t going to be in Vegas, you can register online for remote bidding, with options for both online and telephone bidding.
