That’s so money, baby! No, it really is—Money, Baby! Las Vegas’ newest hot spot for all things sports and all things party, food, drink and fun at the new Virgin Hotels Las Vegas.
Sportsbook? Lounge? Sports bar? Nightclub? “We kind of want to be in our own arena, to be honest with you,” said general manager Grant Goldbaum. “We want to be that nice hybrid. Not that average sports bar you go to. We’re definitely that elevated party bar.”
Money, Baby! stretches across 15,000 square feet and is filled with über-cool design touches incorporating awesome graphics, graffiti and artwork, all with a playful, fun spin. More than 200 TVs are set around the venue for optimal sports viewing, and guests can even place bets at the in-venue sportsbook. “We can play up to 20 different games at once,” Goldbaum said.
There’s also a 5,000-square-foot patio that overlooks Virgin’s tropical pools. Guests can chill outdoors and play a friendly match of lawn games, and a DJ booth resides both outside and inside to keep the party going. Speaking of party—when the sports are over, Money, Baby! does its thing and turns into a high-energy nightlife party and reveals some high-tech touches that light up the dance floor. For extra fun, the venue also has two golf-simulator rooms where you can play an 18-hole round of virtual golf.
Money, Baby! is also a must-visit spot for its food offerings, with Food Network star Beau MacMillan serving as the culinary director. The impressive menu is not your typical sports bar fare; instead, it’s packed with standouts like 18-inch, all-beef hot dogs you can get in four different recipes, black truffle pizza, miso-glazed salmon, 16-ounce New York Strip, Beyond burger, Southern fried chicken sandwich and much, much more.
And let’s talk cocktails. There are three different bars, all with seating, so you can enjoy a menu with a dozen specialty cocktails. Like chai tea? Try the Aces High with Hendrick’s gin and a Japanese butterfly tea reduction. Bourbon lover? The Apricot Smash is a twist on the classic whiskey smash, with a sweet apricot syrup and Old Forester bourbon, or get a sweet play on the Manhattan with the Pitt Boss—Bulleit bourbon mixed with a strawberry and carrot juice reduction and chocolate and walnut bitters. And for a cool play on the michelada, try the Mango Deck, rimmed with Tajín and made with Mango Cart beer and a frozen ice pop of michelada mix that melts when dipped into the beer. That’s pretty money, baby.
