Although other areas of the country mark their holiday seasons by dragging out the parkas and waiting for the snow to fall, in Vegas it’s still sweater weather. But you can still get that holiday merriment going with all the seasonal fun that Las Vegas offers. Here are a few fun things to try:
In The Grand Canal Shoppes, St. Mark’s Square will be all aglow with holiday spirit; indeed, so will The Venetian and The Palazzo. In St. Mark’s, the “Holiday Spectacular” uses digital mapping to enhance St. Mark’s Square while snazzily dressed performers sing contemporary Italian renditions of classic holiday carols (weekends at 6 p.m.) At The Venetian, the theatrical This is Christmas features a Broadway cast, and throughout the resort, you’ll find specials like Buddy V’s Christmas Brunch on Dec. 11 (Buddy V’s Ristorante) and cocktails (Estiatorio Milos).
For the rowdy kid in all of us, check out Tournament of Kings’ ‘Twas the Knight at Excalibur, a medieval romp with a magical Santa, festive foods, games singing and more, plus snow!
Speaking of snow, a cherished Las Vegas tradition begins when you enter the atrium at Sam’s Town, where Mystic Falls Park is decked out in seasonal splendor, with 26,000 lights and a laser light show set to holiday songs every hour starting a 2 p.m. daily. And snow, falling in Vegas!
At FSLV—Fashion Show Las Vegas, a number of experiences will delight you, including a “Holiday Glow” fashion show featuring ballet, holiday songs, acrobatics and, of course, chic ensembles at 11 a.m., 1, 3 and 5 p.m. Dec. 5-12, 16-19, 23 and 24. Plus, sign up at fslv.com/events to enjoy Winter Wonderland, where all that fun comes together; you might also want to snag a slot for a photo with Santa outside Neiman Marcus.
